Question medstudy, what do you think of it?

Hello

I am a 3rd year medical student and i still have 2 years to start preparing for step 2 .. I was searching for a decent way to study internal medicine not just for USMLE but to gain as much knowledge as possible..

I bought Davidson's Text book and I was advised to study from the medstudy collection along..

However, some people said that I should get Kaplans and UW and keep reading them until my step2 exam.. is this better??

Is there anything better I should do to get the best outcome of my studying in the clinical years ??

Medstudy is good if you have time. It helps you with making concepts which have become vital for the USMLE exams.
You might also want to have a look at MKSAP. In fact, I am at the end of my prep for Step 2 and wish I had a look at Medstudy & MKSAP before starting my prep. I would have definately gone with either of them in retrospect.
If you can thoroughly do any of those you will be golden for USMLE and beyond.
Kaplan and UW are excellent review materials specifically for the USMLE but they are not good for making concepts in the long term. As Conrad Fisher says "you cannot review which you never knew".

However, I have heard that many people do UW for the entire year along with their rotations (supplemented with Step up to Medicine etc and it has worked for them.
