Blood Pancytopenia in African Woman

A 25 year old African American woman comes to the emergency depoartment complaining of severe sore throat, fever, shaking chills. Her symptoms began 2 days ago and have progressed to the point that she is weak, confused and barely able to get out of bed. She reports diffuse myalgia and arthralgias for 1 week, accompanied by non- productive cough, head ache and mild abdominal pain. Before this she has been generally healthy, although she sates that she takes medication for her thyroid function in addition to this she takes an OCP daily. Vital signs are temp 39.4, BP 80/40, pulse 120, and respiration 30/min. Examination reveals an ill appearing woman without any localising findings. A complete blood count shows :

Hct 29 %
Hb 9
Leukocyte count 200
Platelet count 30,000

Which of the following is the most likely cause of this patients current condition

A. Fanconi Anemia
B. Hep B infection
C. Methotrexate
D. Parvo Virus B-19
E. Propylthiouracil

E.....PTU is a known cause of agranulocytosis and aplastic anaemia

Does it cause Aplastic Anemia too ?
