Hey, thought I would share my exam prep and experience with you all, hope it helps!

Score: 244/84

UWSA: 234 (3 weeks before exam)

NBME Form 4: 228 (2weeks before exam)

Duration of prep: 3 months

I gave the exam in early Aug but got lucky, new changes weren't implemented by then.

Even without the changes, time was the biggest prob for me.In about 5 blocks i didn't have time for the last question, ended up picking anything. UW is indispensable, has to be done at least twice. But still don't use it as a comparison when testing your ability to finish on time. I didn't miss any questions on UW, and i always practiced timed blocks. NBME was better in that sense.

I basically just used Kaplan notes, FA and UW.
Kaplan once, then UW timed with notes and finally FA twice.
Not such a complicated plan.

One more thing to mention, basics are very important. A good step 1 prep will very helpful. The extra work I put into Step 1 really helped. But if you haven't given step 1 yet, its not the end of the world...just have to work a bit harder.

Best wishes to all!

Yes, I actually read the corresponding chapters in the books after watching the videos. Believe me...it wasn't easy, I wasn't confident at all when i gave the exam and truly consider myself lucky that i got the score that i did. Again if you've given step one, it helps a lot.

Well, my UW average was 69%
Don't recall any other percentage just the corresponding score.
I feel that the UW average best corresponds to the actual score, but the time criteria is best judged by NBME.

Thank You, well studied about 8-10 hrs with occasional weekend breaks.
The 3 month deadline was a bit nerve wracking but this just shows that it isn't impossible.

Yes i did watch the video lectures, it took me a while. Too long actually. I started UW before i finished all of them because i couldn't stand the fact i wasn't finished with them earlier. Don't remember exactly how long...approximately 2.5 months.
Try to get the lectures done fast, that's if you're watching the videos. It takes commitment and its not easy. But keep your eye on the prize...Its all worth it in the end!
