Default postexposure prophylaxis of HBV

Hi all:

Can someone please explain what to give in case of post HBV exposure?

when to give HBV vaccine; immunoglobulin or both?

and to whom we give these?

Thank you!

If the pt. is fully immunized, then measure the Anti HBs Abs, if the titer less than 10 mIU/ml then vaccine as booster and immuniglobulin.
If more than 10 mIU/ml nothing should be given.

If not immunized, should give both vaccine( continue the HBV series) & immunoglobulins.

mIU/mL
