Question How to prepare for CK after finishing Step 1

Hi all, new to this step 2ck forum, wanted to get a general overview about what is recommended here, i did step 1 few months ago and scored 257, most of the material is pretty freash with me, started watching DIT few days ago, was wondering which books you guys recommend to use, and how long to study? For first step i took about 4 months, ALand used 2 qvanks...i saw that most of the people here score very high, which is abit scary cause step 1 score wasnt easy to get. Glad if you can help.

P.S do you recommended watching the step 2 kaplan videos?

257-- Wow!! :P Generally UWORLD is the KEY here.. Everyone who took the exam told me to do UWORLD at least twice...And use MTB 2 and 3 instead of FA... Normally people get done with step 2 Ck in approx 4-6 months..

As much as UW was important in step 1, it is even more important in step 2.

Doing as much questions i feel is the key in step 2.

There isn't alot of variance step 2 sources as there was in step 1, i.e. almost every single person I know uses some sort of combination between these sources ONLY:
KLN, Kaplan videos, MTB 2/3
Kaplan Qbook, Kaplan Qbank, UW

I noticed most of the fresh step 1 takers dig right into MTB 2/3 along with UW. Because the foundation is already there.

I just started so I'm not that experienced when it comes to step 2 wisdom.
However, my personal plan is:

-First read: MTB 2/3 along with the videos, annotating as i go along. (no KLN's).
-Second read: MTB 2/3 along with UW, also annotating as i go along (or taking notes on a separate notebook, depends on the amount).
-Third read: Complete review of MTB 2/3 (now containing annotations from the videos and UW).

Good luck!

Are the videos available for download somewhere on the internet like they are for Step 1? Or do people buy these services for step 2? Also what about DIT for step 2? Is there a way to download these step 2 resources?? Thanks!

I feel that even MTB 2 and 3 are not enough... The uworld is way 2 confusing and Kaplan Qbank just ask way 2 many vague questions...There is so many new things to learn and they can test u from any topic even new studies n research..THIS IS MESSED UP !

KNL videos: Already done with step 1? skip them... go as Renaissance says.

135 $ for an old edition: I'd buy the new edition or try to get one (or even the 2011-2012) by "other" means (If you know what I mean).
