Help Abstract Question

from free 150, special request to novo, xpaezx, cingulate.gyrus, DocSikorski, step enhancer....and others tooo

there is one abstract question regarding spironolactone and lvf
ans to which is d, measured outcomes were not imp to patients ...

it does not make sense to me...any 1 ?

lets discuss it here...i spend hours and i cant figure out...please help...

What was the Hazard Ratio? I havent done the free 150 questiosn yet, but most abstract questions from Uworld emphasize a lot on one looking at the Hazard ratio

I did those questions 6 months ago.
If I remember correctly, the concept behind the question is that even if the results a statistically significant they might not be relevant/useful in the real world i.e. no practical application.
For example, if a drug lowers the BP by 1mmHg than it has no practical application even though the study is perfect and statistically significant.

If this not what you were looking for then let me know and I will get back to you in a few days since I am going to do the free 150 soon (again) since they have changed/updated when I did them last.

htere is just 1 abstract question . i am not getting it . it says measured outcomes are not imp to patient. IMO, this is because quality or mortality was not mentioned in study. what you say ?

yes you are right; the study does not measure mortality/quality of life/any other parameter that directly affects patient. Improved physiologic parameters such as EF, LVEDV, LVESV are irrelevant for the patient.
