Psyche Self mutilation and Personality Disorders!

top right of the page 483 of MTB3

Passive aggressive personality disorder a\w with self mutilation ?
should nt this be borderline personality disorder ?

Passive–aggressive behavior is not a personality disorder according to DSM IV criteria so it is a misprint.

guys need your input......psychiatry is best explained in mtb 2 or 3..???

im confused whether to follow mtb 2 or 3 for BS....???


need your advice....novo, xpeazx, cg......???

There are topics in MTB 2 (e.g.Childhood disorders) which are not given in MTB 3 and vice versa. So, you will have to read from both. MTB 3 is also good for latest treatment and pearls.
If you have time it's better to read first 100 pages of KLN's Psychiatry to get a good understanding since it is a high yield subject and based on recent exam experiences you need a thorough understanding to answer questions on the real test.

i did go thru BS in kaplan notes once.....but the contradictory statements in few topics between mtb 2 and 3 and kln, uworld is driving me crazy.

will skim thru mtb 2 n 3 once for BS..........thanks novo

I meant Step 2 CK Psychiatry KLNs not Step1 Behavioral science KLNs.
Alternatively you can use FA Step 2 CK where it is covered quite well.
