Question stopping AAA progression ...

while uworld says, recommend smoking cessation as most effective way, mtb3 says BP control [ pg 318]
i will mark smoking cessation ...
thoughts ?

is it related to thoracic AAA vs abdomen AAA ? someone please help

My friend we already discussed this in a thread 4 thread below.

If you want to prevent progression of an AAA, then you have to control 2 fundamental things (1 being the madafaking most important one) Smoking and Hyperlipidemia

Smoking cessation will be the best PREVENTIVE measure in an AAA, Also remember that MALE OVER 65 years old with a history OF SMOKING HIS ASS OFF, gets screened with abdominal USG, do you see the clue here? smoking its the clue.

Regarding a TAA, the best preventive measure or even the first step in management when it is dissecting its HTN CONTROL.
