Question Lichen Sclerosis and Lichen Planus

elderly patient with feature of lichen sclerosis, we order vaginal bx first then steroids. right ?
if patient be in 30-40 and we suspect lichen planus..what is protocol ? bx then steroids ? or what ?

For LIchen sclerosis you do a punched out biopsy and give clobetasol cream.

For Lichen planus you can go straight to treatment with either topical steroids, IM triamcinolone or even oral metronidazole.
It is most of the time a self limited disease.
