Step2 266

UWorld 1st pass timed tutor 83%
2nd pass, new subscritiption (not renewal) completed 50%. cumulative 93%
NBME 2 2.5 months before exam 252
UWSA 1.5 month before exam 264
Could not concentrate for the last month before the exam due to personal issues.
Did not see many odd questions. Difficulty level was DIFFERENT than UWORLD. I would say the exam was on the harder side as I was struggling to finish the blocks. Missed 2 questions due to time constraints. Ran out of break time.

I am pretty sure that the scoring curve on step 2 ck is much more lenient than Step 1.

Coming out of step 1 I felt pretty happy.
Coming out of step 2 I felt like, meh...

Prep: MTB2, MTB3 (for surgery Ob/Gyn, Peds) Uworld, Kaplan Qbank

Hey ! Congrats on the awesome score. Quick question though. I am in a somewhat similar position, I have given my UWSA and NBME's a month ago with estimates of about 230's but I have had to cancel my examination due to personal reasons. Currently I am back with my books and took a Brand new Usmleworld Subscription and am scoring 89-90% in all my tests. Just waiting for an available test day. My question, what did you do in the last month before your exam to keep your knowledge fresh ? Just did Uworld again, or went through the books or what ?

Thanks

Thanks.

I prepped for 6 months. The first month I was busy with college paperwork and the last month I couldn't study much due to personal issues and burnout. If I had to do it again, I'd say 4 to 4.5 mo is perfect.

Psych, don't remember being tested much.
Biostats, had at least 2 questions per block.

Good luck.

Thanks Nik,

Last month was a disaster for me. So I am not the best person to ask for that advice.

For what it's worth, I went over the new UW subscription 50%. Didn't help as I was able to recall most of the answers. I revised MTBs and my UWorld notes.

What's your feedback on the MTBs?

MTB 3 for Peds, Obs/Gyn, and Surgery
MTB for everything else
Right?

You must have had a very strong knowledge base.
I don't think that you needed to prepare for this test based on your 1st time UW percentage and the fact that you got this score despite not being able to concentrate on your prep during the last month due to personal issues.
Only thing UW/MTB probably did is practice/fine tune your already existing knowledge.

Right?
Yep, pretty much. For psych & derm I mainly focused on Uworld, Kap QBank.

Thanks CG.

I am from India. I haven't done any residency.

I was comfortable with IM, not so much with Ob/Gyn, Peds

Good luck to you.

Thanks Nudrat.

my Kap QBank avg was probably around 73%.

I think you should probably do it. The psych and derm portions were better than UW.
