Has any body used or gone through the new edition, pink cover 2nd edition of 2ck Master the boards? how does it compare with the 1st edition? I recently bought the 1st edition and have just discovered that there is now a new edition.

How did you come to know about the new second edition pink MTB-CK

As far as Amazon says, this book will be released to the market in December 18th, 2012. So still one month before it's release.

I wish Fisher had wrote the book which would have been the combination of MTB 2CK and MTB 3. I know that people use MTB CK for IM and 3 for other subjects, but even internal medicine needs to be filled from MTB 3(this doesn't mean that MTB 3 has enough material, they fill each other). eg. i did neurology Kaplan CK lectures and Vertigo/Dizziness was discussed in it by Fisher, then read MTB CK and it wasn't there i checked it in MTB 3 and found the suitable chapter about Vertigo. (also dementia is in MTB 3 but not in CK ).

He likes to mention that the questions which were seen on Internal Medicine Boards about 5 years ago are likely to appear on step 3 now. So i assume that questions from Step3 may appear on CK too.

My personal way of prep is bases on this: "take MTB CK as a major book ( like FA for step1) and annotate things in it. I also read Step up to medicine and add infos in MTB CK from it. so at the end i will have in MTB CK following resources: MTB 3, SUTM, Kaplan Notes (for other subjects) + Qbanks."

this is my personal opinion and i have enough time to do this. for those who are taking exam like after 3 months of prep Watch Fishers leqtures + MTB CK + Usmle world.
