Although UW is the most important part in CK, I think going straight to the qbanks is not a good thing to do, I think it is too early for you to start with the q bank, the best thing is to study the material from the books (Kaplans, MTB, etc, whatever suits you). Also I think you need more commitment, you need more than 3 h/d if you can so.

After 1 read of Kaplan you should be doing ok, what is your average at UW ? May be you have done a wrong form in NBME, I heard that one of them (may be 2) is for step 3. The exam is very close to UW & UWSA.

I think your average is on the low side, you should work more on your weakness, try to find out which parts are your weakest and why you are getting many questions wrong, if because of many new concepts I think you should study them from other sources. I can't help you with either Kaplan qbank or MTB because I did Kaplans and UW only and found that ~70% of the exam depends on UW concepts.

Don't stress that is the worst thing to do, you have a lot of time to pick your scores up. Most important is the advice already given, you need to put in a more solid effort with overall hours you are dedicating to the exam. Also don't jump to qbanks until you have a solid understanding of the basics. Def read MTB, it's essential to learn what step you should do next. I have been using the new First Aid color edition and in my opinion they really did an amazing job this year with all of the changes, I feel it is the strongest book out. But overall I would not stress, you have a lot of time, plus NBME is the most irrelevant one I feel. When you are ready I suggest NBME 4, everyone tells me it has the most predictive value. I also think the UWSA is a great toll to evaluate where you stand, but don't do those until you are more solid. Hope that helps, good luck, you will wind up doing fine, don't let one NBME mess with your head.

You have a lot of time to go depending on when in March you are taking the exam. I would just put in a solid 8-10 hours everyday until the test if you have it. Just spend a few days getting to know master the boards cold. Then I would go through Kaplan q bank subject wise and again 8-10 hours a day of questions. Once you are done take it to Uworld, random blocks timed, and when you are finished thoroughly read the answers an add the information to the new FA. After that if your average on world should be a lot higher. Take NBME form 4 or UWSA, you should score decent. This test is not about being smart, I think it's about dedication to the material. Some people absorb it quicker then others. My GF reads/hears info once and she remembers it, I need to hear/see it 3X at least to truly understand it. Enjoy the holiday and then go into overdrive. I take my test this Saturday, I will let you know how it goes. I plan on posting my experience.
