USMLE Books MTB 2 and MTB 3 Combination

How do you use them:
1) IM only in MTB2 & preventive medicine, dermatology, emergency med, radiology, ethics etc from MTB3?
OR
2) read all of MTB2 & 3?

Default Agreed

Currently I'm in the same dilemma...Any help would be appreciated guys! I've heard arguments for both, just trying to understand how can Dr. Fischer not add some stuff to CK that he added to Step 3 which is relevant for step 2ck!

Ok here's what I've found so far.....MTB 3 for IM practically is the same info presented in a different way....Surgery/Peds/OB/GYN do actually have a lot of added material, so I'm going to stick to MTB2 IM and the rest from MTB2 and 3

I'm already done with KLN, not a lot of added info in IM from KLN to MTB2, peds has a LOT of low yield info in KLN, OB/GYN and surgery are good in KLN (but for OB/GYN MTB2/3 is more than enough) Psych better off using your FA for the step 1

Default need help!!

Dr. Kal El,

I'm wondering the same as "donb"... is MTB 2+3 enough as a complete source?

I'm going through kaplan qbank right now along with MTB 2 +3 and planning to start UW once I'm done with kaplan qbank. what are your (or anyone else's for that matter) thoughts about that?

My main ques is are KLN a must to score >240? or can we do without them if using MTB 2+3?

Thank you for anyone that takes the time to write back :-) and good luck to everyone!
