Question Negative rapid strept test?

is it enough to role out strept pharyngitis, or do we still have to culture to confirm its absence ?

rapid strept test = Culture

So, no further investigation is required since a negative rapid strept test is enough to rule out strep pharyngitis (for USMLE purpose).

In real world, you do a culture or might start empiric treatment based on clinicians judgement.
