Default preparation time for step 2 ck only,before /without attempt step 1

hi.
i wanted to ask
my friend have 3 to 4 years clinical exp in general practioner. , after intern ship, also preparation dedicated /full time of mrcp 1,now with this creteria,
if he wanted to take step 2 ck with dedicated studies ., as an(average student.)
1) how many months ,should study????
2) how many hours /day???

Not sure I understand what you are asking here? Your friend has MD and has been out in practice for few years? Why would he take step 2 if he already graduated?

If your friend is from Pakistan too then I think he will need a good 6months to get back in touch with books. 3months of 6-8hours of solid study time using Kaplan LNs, videos and Uworld and after that strengthening his concepts and memory for another 3months of 10-12 hours with self assessments during the last few weeks. That should do it for him.

of( MRCP1 AND G.P exp.)
how much he had to study?? for .>90

Hard to answer that question, it's completely subjective and depends. I worked in medical arena for years and in the ER for 3 years but I still had to work really really hard to get decent scores. Some people have amazin memories and understanding and hardly have to put in time at all (hope they are like that). Either way I would say they should do uworld and do assessments, overall always the best indicator of future performance.
