Arrow CK Tentative Schedule

Hello fellows,
Good to see some of the familiar names are still around.

I got my CS results this Wednesday and I passed ( IDK How!)

So it's time now to start posting my schedule for CK.
This is what I had in mind:

Resources:
KLN for CK
MTB 2
MTB 3
UWorld
Kaplan Qbank

The plan is to give CK by mid July. It seems a little tight considering the amount of travel I have to do on a regular basis and I do get jetlag
I am still working on the specifics now. Will post it later.

Sounds good. I didn't use KLN but if you have the time then go for it. They take a bit to get through from what I hear. Make sure to really focus on UWorld as its the most important tool u have. G luck

Arrow Rough Time Frame

OK This is what I have figured for the time being:
I will add the QBanks in later.

Target Dates for First Read:
Surgery: 04/02 - 23/02 (20 days)
Obs: 24/02 - 08/03; 13/03- 17/03 (18 days)
Gyn: 18/03 - 02/04 (15 days)
Peds: 03/04 - 09/04 (07 days)
Med: 10/04 - 04/05 (25 days)
Derm/Rad/Ophthal: 05/05 - 09/05 (05 days)
Psy: 10/05 - 13/05 (04 days)
Epid/Biostats: 14/05 - 19/05 (06 days)

All the people who remember my schedules from Step 1 forum will also remember that I don't stick very well to my schedule.

Let's hope I'm third time lucky.

I hope I have enough time for QBanks. Will post a more elaborate schedule in time.

All depends when your test date is, if u have a few months to study u should be ok. Again uworld is way more essential then anything else, especially for step 2 ck. I am sure you will do fine...I always set a study schedule but it was always modified everyday since I always planned to do more then actually got done. I studied 12-14 hours/day but it took me a while to get a grasp on a lot of the concepts and I reviewed uworld 2x

If you're giving 25days to IM then atleast give 10 to Paeds. Paeds is the toughest of KLNs. Takes time to get a hang of.

Thank you all for your inputs.
Thought I should clarify a few things.
The part of te schedule till 08/03 is along with a wacky observership.
Even otherwise I've never physically studied more than 8hrs a day.
I'm old IMG so I don't think I've a choice about KLN.

What do u guys say about that?

Arrow Update Day 6

What I'm done with:
Reading Surg from MTB 2 & 3.
Reading Surg Section A from KLN.

I will start with the videos of Step 2 CK Surg tonight.
Please don't ask me to mail those videos because I downloaded the torrent from a link I found on this forum when I first joined it last year. It's about 50 GB and a few weeks later the torrent was also taken down.

The Surgery KLN videos are about 15 hrs by my estimate. Plan is to do about 1/2 hr today and approx 1hr daily thereafter.
Up to 2 hrs of videos on Sunday and Saturday.

Plan by days:
09/02: Read Chap 1 Trauma & try to do 1/2 hr of videos.
10/02 - 11/02: Remaining Chap 1
12/02 - 14/02: Read & Video Chap 2 Ortho, Chap 3 Pre- & Post Op Care
15/02 - 16/02: Read and Video Chap 4 Gen Surgery up to Dis of Breast
17/02: Remaining Chap 4, Read & Vid Chap 5 Ped Surg, Chap 6 CT Surg, Chap 7 Vascular Surg, Chap 8 Skin Surg
18/02: Read & Vids Chap 9 Ophthal and Chap 10 ENT
19/02: Read & Vids Chap 11 Neurosurgery
20/02: Read & Vids Chap 12 Urology up to Retention and incontinence
21/02: Remaining Chap 12, Read & Vid Chap 13 Transplant Surg
22/02-23/02: Buffer days because I never stick to the schedule.
