USMLEWorld Can I retake UWSA?

Hello guys.

I'm really confused. I scored very little on NBME. 2 weeks ago, I scored a 209 and now my exam is in another 2 weeks.

I had taken UWSA 3 months ago and that time I scored 201 on it, but since that time, I have studied A LOT. Do you think it will be fair enough to retake UWSA again keeping in mind that I had already done that?

The basic thing is that I need confidence. Yesterday, a friend told me that I shouldn't even think of taking the exam with a score of less than 230 in NBME. He has totally demoralized me. I can't postpone my exam, since I have my CS planned. With a ruined Step 1 score, and low on Step 2 NBME, I don't know what I should do. I can also do the Free 150 FRED questions if that will help.

I have done UWorld Qbank random, timed with 68% in first attempt and I revised it 5-6 times, I've done the Kaplan Lecture notes 5-6 times, MTB 2 times, but I don't know why I'm not able to score. I've seen other people with 68% on Qbank score really high. If it is the stress that ruins things, then I can not help it. During the exam I will have even more stress. I don' t know what to think with just 2 weeks left. Some people say that Qbank is the closest, some say MTB is a must, but I have always found MTB so confusing.

I feel that I have studied a lot since 3 months, and since everyone says UWSA is the closest thing to the exam, I want to take it again. Can I?

Why not?
AFAIK you can postpone since CS has nothing to do with it.

I suggest postponing it and then figuring out what is wrong with your preparations...........till you figure that out DO NOT go for the test...............so many people have realized (too late) that it is not a good idea to chase the match..........it's better to lose one year than the entire career!

First of all, the CS is scheduled for March 27. Kaplan CS LivePrep course is scheduled from March 11-15. And I'll be leaving to US, on the 9th of March. When do I postpone it to, now?

Why can't you take it in US after your CS. At the most you will lose some $$$ but you'll have till August to take it to be in time for 2014 match.
At the end of the day it's your call as to how much risk you are willing to take.
