Default Advice from recent test takers?

Hi everyone,

As the title says, do any recent test takers have advice to give about the CK exam?
Anything at all would be helpful!

Hi Cubioh,

I did CK two months ago

The exam is easier than Step 1, I don't know if you did step1 or not

Almost all of the questions are long long cases
Many images, and videos

If you have done Kaplan then please do it twice I mean the LN has to be memorized because all qs are from kaplan

Hi guys, thanks for the replies.

I'm asking on behalf of my husband (I don't want to bother him with his studying so I'm asking for him myself )

He's passed Step 1, I think it was last year. He's gone through Qbank from Kaplan, going through a Qbank from USMLE World, has his First Aid books too. Next month he's going to be spending all month doing practice tests/self assessments.

He was wondering if anyone who's recently taken the test could give any input on how it is different from Step 1, so I thought I should ask around for him. Thanks again guys, and if anyone has any other advice, it would be much appreciated.

Your husband is on the right track
If he has done Step 1 before (though we don't know his score he should find Step 2 CK much easy to go through

Finishing Kaplan qbank and USMLE world is all that required to be in good shape.

Now you should tell him to go and do NBME forms
to learn more about NBME check this thread

ya
I took the exam on 18/9/09.
My advice is study the Qbank along with the material well.
USMLE world is always good.
Major piece of advice. 9hrs is very stressful plan ur break time. As u reach the end of the exam will find it difficult to concentrate.
Take liquidswell. working lunch shud suffice.
best of luck
Cheers to all
