Default preparation for STEP 1 AND 2 at same time

Hi, i am an old graduate of 2004. but continiously engaged in medicine jobs in UK( doin Mrcp part 2 ). i wish to usmle. Can you please guide me , can i do Step 1 and Step 2 preparation at same time? still i will take at least 1 -2 months between exams. but wanna do preparation together..?
My plan is to do anatomy, physio , systemic patho and systemic pharma .......then step 2 prep and give step 2.
After wards will do biochem, behavioral, genetics, general phatho and pharma and revise others stuff and sit in step 1...
reason is i want to score very high in Step 1 especially and will try best for step 2.....
What do u guys think?

Thanks Shima for your encouragement ... as i know Step 1 result count more , and my plan may include step 2 cs in between step 1 and 2 or even before step 2...
i thought to do anatomy, physio patho first because i believe if i know these it can help in medicine, surgery, paeds and psych....
and then tough material (which is really tough for me being old grad) do later to score good.

How long usually people take for step 2 preparation?

Medical students require definitive guide for the MRCP examination revision. Part 2 exam syllabus is same as part 1. More questions come from diagnosis, image and data interpretation. Part 2 preparation is similar to the part 1 preparation strategy .Refer and practise well. Do well. All the best.

You have a good plan. However let me tweak it a little by saying focus entirely on step 1 and do the exam, afterwards you move immediately into intensive step 2 prep. A lot of step 1 principles are repeated on step 2 and because u've been actively in clinical medicine all this while, u'll find your prep to be much quicker and easier and u should be able to do step 2 within 3 months of step 1. All the best!

Yeah, agree. Totally focus on step 1. It is by itself preparation for step2 all the basics from step1 will be your foundations for step2. Both exams need serious preparation. One month between exams will not help. Preparation for step1 is extremely exhausting, but exam is easier than step2. Vice versa step2 prep seems not that exhausting, everything looks more or less familiar ( if you have done step 1 shortly before) but exam is harder, way harder, vague, with time pressure.

And another thing from my experience doing this exams together with doing something else is a torture. Dedicate full time to it.
