If you don't have much clinical experience then I'd say yes the CK is helpful before doing the CS.

But if you have done few months of clinical rotations in internal medicine then you are ready to do the CS exam.

Thanks for your reply
i am IMG
i have not done any clinical rotation in any program
i just signed for USCE after paying SIGNIFICANT amount of money to a private society
i have pretty low step1 score 200
they assigned me 3 months of clinical rotation in different clinical sites
BUT TO ME IT SEEMS like just private clinic and not teaching hospital affiliated facility...
my chances are in FAMILY MEDICINE AND PEDS after getting step1 score
+++STILL have to take step2 CK and CS
Please help my with my situation
my YOG = 2009
i have 1 year Residency in my country
i have plan to apply next year
IS THERE ANY IMG friendly Programs??
what are my chances after taking a look into my profile ??
this society told me that you have to do USCE and LORs that why i took loan and paid them..
Thanks

Your Step 1 score is considered low.

Therefore you have mask its effects by getting high scores in the CK and pass the CS from first attempt.

Yes. USCE and LoRs will also help you a lot.

Thanks for info
with this step1 score my chances of getting SURGERY residency are really low?
i mean even if i got G.surgery USCE and LORs still low?
And i hear surgery usually requires at least 1 year of USCE is taht true?

Second question is i am doing USCE in F/M and this USCE and LOR from family med doctor is also going to help me with application in IM ?
Can i use same LORs in different programs?

Thanks
