USMLEWorld UWorld Random or Subject-wise!

Which u prefer or think is best? Also,Timed or tutor?how long the time for u per block? U think 1 month subscription or 2 months is enough?

Also, when u like to do questions?early morning after wake or at night before sleep?(assuming u need to read books in the day)

If u are in the pre-exam period "review" the the best is:

1- mixed, timed , at morning simulating the real exam time and format
2- doing many exams is better and more important than just reading books at this critical time

But if u still in the preparing plan, the the best is : subject wise, any time u want, tutor or timed all equals

2 months is good for both plan

I agree with Blackhorse.

The 2 months subscription is cheaper per month than the 1 month subscription.

I think a one month subscription is too short it you are on 'study' mode but if you are on 'test' mode I think a month is enough.

based on the poll one can do 50-100 questions a day (that's with reading/ studying explanations) if you do 50 a day you wont be able to go through the whole qbank in a month.

Ok. Without knowing about your background/prep time/target score here are my 2 cents

1. I think uworld should be done twice. You will be surprised when you go through it a second time and most questions will look unfamiliar.

2. If you are planning to do uworld twice. You will need the 'reset' option. This is only available with the 6 month subscription. There are other convoluted ways of redoing the questions without having to reset the bank but they are not worth your time.

3. Subject wise worked best for me. This is a learning tool and doing it subject wise creates structure in your head as you try to retain information. Random did not work well for me. Also I think if you do 3-5 assessments before the exam they prepare you to address mixed blocks. Also you can mix multiple subjects as you go along so that can get you used to mixed questions

4. I used the timed tutor mode. The problem with timed alone is that you have to go back and reread the questions and options when you review - was of time. The problem with tutor alone is that you have no constraints and you will slack off or waste time researching details. Timed tutor keeps you on your toes and also saves time by not having to reread the questions

5. Morning an afternoons worked better for me to do questions. But you will have to notice your own patterns of energy and do accordingly.

All the best!
