Smile aknz CK Result 231

Got my result today.
I did it with my 4 months old baby. Special thanks to Heartbeat, Novobiocin and Zohaib for all their help. Exam was tough but if you prepare yourself with USMLE World, you are all set.
Exam was all about UW.

My NBMEs score:

NBME 1 did offline about 140 correct.

NBME 2 : 330 ( 4 months ago )

NBME 3 : 380 (1 month ago )

USWA : 230/ 550 ( 8 days ago )

I didn't attempt NBME 4 because none of NBMEs correlate with real exam which resembles exactly like UW.

Just practice UW a lot.

In the last month of your study,do UW again two times, read each and every word of it both questions and explanations, memorize them by heart, eat it,regurgitate it,use it as your primary book, whatever you name............your score will definitely boost ,It can assure you.

Always do it online random timed, complete on block of 44 questions in as minimum time as possible to overcome time management problem which you will face if you don`t do questions in ramdom timed mode.Try to complete each block about 10 to 15 minutes earlier.

Best of luck

NBME 3 is very easy,do not correlate with real exam, just work hard on UW ,do it multiple times and assess yourself with UWSA.Never do NBMEs offline ,because one thing they do not correlate with real exam, second If you think, you want to predict your preparation with offline NBME.....its just a waste.

KEY : MTB + UW .

Even in last 10 days,do not even see MTB unless you are weak in some areas, just do UW ........you will win the real deal .

One month before the exam ,I attempted NBME 3 and got just 380 = 202,It was a big shock to me.Then I again started UW and did it one and half times. Each and every concept of UW is high yield ,you will see the same thing in real exam like you are doing more blocks of UW.

Do revise UW till your eyes bleed,in the last month, you should be on your computer just doing UW and clearing your concepts and weak areas.

Believe me If I can do it even with my 4 month old baby, who cries daily half a day due to her gastric problem without the help of any family member except my husband as I am in Canada away from my parents and in laws and I got 231, then definitely you can do it.

I cannot stress on doing UW more than this.

Best of luck.

oh ok then i can get feed back from u with regards to the ck as u will be taking early
did u do any nbmes for ck and whats ur score in that and also do have any idea about kaplan simulative tets. How do they correlate and how will the toughness level be?
So you told that u r doing u world 2nd time but can u tell me how u r doing it i mean r u reviewing each and evrything again or just hard topics?

How long you have to study UW ,it depend upon your background knowledge, your learning speed.....but the matter is exam is all about UW. Prepare yourself well with UW,take your time. For first time ,if you have strong knowledge, then I think you need one and half to two month, then the remaining revisions of UW will be very fast. But its better to memorize the notes from UW at the end of each block.

Hope this helps .

Always do it online random timed, complete on block of 44 questions in as minimum time as possible to overcome time management problem which you will face if you don`t do questions in ramdom timed mode.Try to complete each block about 10 to 15 minutes earlier.

Best of luck
congratz on your great score =)

when you do UW second and third times, do you review any books along with it? or just keep reading UW?

and.. if NBMEs aren't a good prediction, then how should i know when i'm ready to take the test?

thanks

Yes definitely ,I kept on revising MTB 2 onto which I added a lot of stuff from kaplan and MTB 3 along with doing UW questions with explanation.

NBME`s are not a good predictor,so just study hard and when you think, you are prepared enough, then attempt UWSA.
