Idea! What is the next step for studying !?

Hi guys I need your advice. I'm little bit confused about next plan of studying

I'v just finished one reading of MTB 2 (im) and MTB 3 (other subjects) what the next step should I do?:

A ) study matrials again w/ study partner before going to UW
B) study materials again w/ study partener and start uw
C) study matrials myself before going to UW
D) start UW now along w/ materials myself
E) any suggestion will be welcome :-)

I heard also alot about Yale-g:
Yale-G's Refined Clinical Review for the USMLE Step 2 & 3

This is book have a good feedback and I'm thinking to give it try. Have anybody read it before?

Thanks

Do you recommend to read Surgery beds and oby/gyn in MTB 2? How it differ from MTB 3?

Its better on MTB 3, but i just wanted to read MTB 2 as a whole! It just took me 2 more days so i would say, if u can spare 2 days, why not go for it. A lot of users have said to read everything on both!

Definitely have to do both MTB 2 and 3 for OB/GYN. Gynae is severely deficient in MTB 2.

In my opinion, if you've done a good, thorough read of MTBs, you should start Uworld now. The general advice is to do it in timed, random blocks from the get go, which is what I did but lots of people did it in tutor mode initially and did great in the exam. Supplement deficient areas in Uworld with MTB and make notes.

That's my opinion, but I haven't taken CK yet myself so I don't know what it's worth.

May I ask what is the rational behind doing USMLE world in "random blocks"? Isn't it better to do it "subject-wise"?

Like I said, from reading these and other forums, lots of people who do quite well in the test do it subject wise to help with consolidation and focused studying.

However, the consensus seems to be doing it timed, random blocks to give you a better stimulation of the exam experience and also to give a more accurate assessment of your preparation as reflected by your cumulative UW percentage. If you're doing it subject wise, then the UW percentage isn't as indicative as an assessment tool. Which isn't that big a deal because the primary purpose of UW is as a tool for learning and if you feel that your needs are better served by doing it subject-wise, by all means do so.

As long as we incorporate lots of UW in your preparation plan and learn the material well, I think we should be fine.
