The only surefire way to do this is through practice. It's difficult coming from step 1 to deal with the incredibly long stems in step 2 but in time you will learn how to extract the important info as you read. Highlighting too much certainly doesn't help and if you are accustomed to overusing the highlight feature from Step 1 it would serve you well to curtail that habit just a little bit.

One important thing to keep in mind is that the actual exam questions are probably of the same length as Kaplan Q bank, if not slightly longer. So while the actual content of Kaplan Qbank is not always very high yield (it is good only in patches), it gives you much needed practice for the exam day, especially if you feel you are a slow reader. The best in this regard is the full length 8 hour Kaplan Simulated test. Each individual block is 46 questions long and really tests your speed even though the questions are at times a bit too picky and low yield. It gives you a fair assessment of how you are going to fare speed wise on the big day! The USMLE World questions on the other hand are shortish in length and most people tend to finish a UWorld block with 5-10 minutes to spare. That almost never happens in the actual exam!!

Default cannot fully read long question

I cannot even scroll the screen down to read the ending part of the long question on the website. For some questions I cannot even see all the answer options. So I have to use the soft ware to do block by block on my Android. It is not convenience at all since the software just allows me to review the last block. Do you have the same problem?

because on PC we can only use a web browser to do the qbank. I tried both IE and Chrome but none allows me to view the ending part of a long question. It means I cannot scroll the screen down.

Hmmm... Honestly I never encountered this problem, you mean to say there is no scroll bar on the right hand side? There are usually two. One for the window and another one inside it for the question area. Have you tried to run the browser in full screen mode by pressing F11?

The scroll bar inside just on the right of the question area is frozen. It can never be scrolled up or down. I tried it at different PCs with very large screens but it does not work. Kaplan customer care does not response to my issue. Thank you for your help anyway.
