Listening CK Prep while Working; Possible?

Hello everybody,

One of my friend has a problem and I thought ill ask around for help.

He is working at a hospital and it is kinda hectic. he is done with step 1 and wants to give CK now. But not able to understand how to juggle ck prep and work together. anybody who has done this or who can give any advice, please do so. is it doable? how many hours per day for ck and how many months would suffice?

thanks in advance for the help.

People have combined working & preping for usmle but it depends on how many shifts & how demanding the job is.
I tried it & that's my worst regret so far. I had to quit like 4 wks ago when it dawned on me I have less than 4months to seat for & pass cs & ck.
Personally,I wouldn't advise working with usmle since usmle itself is a full time job !

I've been full-time working since the first day of my step1 prep and see no problem in that. But, probably it's personal and depends from one to another.

Default YES

Hello,

I am working full time as a researcher in US. And I gave my step 1 while working full time. I also have my CS next week and CK in the near future. Working and studying are indeed not ideal but definitely doable. Just make sure you take a week or 10 days off before CK.

Cheers!

I gave my step 1 while working, and I passed.
but that was a bad experience, because I could have achieved 30+ scores, If I was free.
Now, I am going to give CK. I don't work now.
It also depends on what score would u need? If you are OK with a 220, then it is certainly feasible with 4-5 months.
Good luck
