I'm about to take step 2ck. As soon as I took Step 1 I took a week off (or more) then started studying MTB2 and 3. When I got my step 1 result I signed in for UWorld. I'm an old IMG so I'm taking my sweet time, most people here say 3 months is an average study period for fresh step 1 takers.

Main book: MTB 2 and 3 (almost the same, with just a bit of extra info each)
UWorld: All subjects Random, Timed, Unused, 44 q's

For quick reference I use:
- FA (selected topics not covered in MTB)
- Lange Case Files (so far unhelpful, with some conflicting information)
- my step 1 notebook for Biostatistics, genetic diseases, microbe taxonomy, drug lists, etc
- Netter for the occasional Musculoskeletal consultation, a quick glance for surgery, etc.
- HY Embryology for some pediatrics topics, a quick look at the pictures, just to help the long term memory
