Idea! Ideal markerboard

Just came up with an idea after reading the conversation of 2 other forum members (docmur87 JJtheMD) - lets come up with an ideal markerboard info that one could spit out on a paper that they give you before you start the test.

It is not a cheating and completely acceptable.

I'd suggest:
Parkland formula,
algorithms for cardiac resuscitation
shock characteristics
Winter's formula
possibly some screening guidelines

What do you suggest?

Wink

I wrote shock characteristics, some statistics formula and colon, PAP and mammography guidelines.
Didnt have any problems and IN fact it helped A LOT.
I also wrote the CHADS2 score for A.Fib

Your idea seems good, you will get to know what to write after you are done with some qbanks.

Unfortunately, I wasn't allowed to write on my markerboard before the exam started, I wrote 1 word and they took the board away from me and gave me another and said if I needed to write during my tutorial if I wanted to. I was disappointed and actually ended up not writing anything.

Just did an NBME 2 offline with my own pace, got about 155/184 +/- 10 controversial questions right or wrong cuz no one knows for sure what they are...
So about 80-85 percent correct, which, according to NBME score data falls between 225 - 238

Never encountered any single question from what we were thinking on putting on a markerboard, so this NBME must be pretty outdated!

But the take home message is that one should know the normal lab values cold solid.

Back to studying.
