If by volatile you mean minute-hard to learn topics- then (for me):
  1. Pediatric milestones and vaccination.
  2. USPTF mammography, colonoscopy and PAP smear guidelines.
  3. A.FIB CHADS2 score and treatment of acute vs chronic/rate control vs rhythm control.

for me
1. cervical cancer treatment
2. CML, ALL, AML , ALL- no matter how much i read about them i am never 100% confident while answering questions
3. antiarrythmic drugs..
4. pediatric milestones
5. blastomycosis vs histoplasmosis vs coccidio..even after having them studied so many times while doing the questions all i relate to is the place

i think there are more to it..basically its the same material that was tested in step 1 and had to revise these things in the end..

I did the 150 Qs for step 2 and got 47% total, I also did the step 1 150 Qs and got 60%. I haven't taken my step 1 yet due to some reasons. Does that mean I could kill the step 2? I've got the MTBs and Kaplan LN, also Kalpan Q bank for the CK. I would like to know how predictive these sample questions are.

I assume, you received MD or MBBS in your home country, since you were eligible to take exams?
That is your degree forever. You are doctor.

You scared the **** out of me there . A lot of people score high on the exam without taking their step 1 yet. Why would I be different? Can you give me reasons why the step 2 CK would be harder to me? I would appreciate honest feedback regarding why not doing step 1 would hurt someone on step 2. Apart from having good basics;
I already intend to go over FA for step 1, do Goljan pathology, Microbiology, and pharm flashcards in addition to my step 2 prep. What could go wrong?

not sure weather it is your spelling or else, but with a 47% on free 150 you are putting yourself at a very high risk.

If I understand correctly - you want to do step 2 before step 1 - also not the brightest decision...

Please think twice

I guess you're right. Doing step 1 would be a better idea. I've all the prep materials anyway. Thanks for the advice man.

One more advice - plan your studies wisely and study smart!
You have already wasted free 150 just to find out that you have piss poor 50% performance...

Keep the most valuable predictors (Which are NBME's and UWSA in case of step 2 ck) till the end, when you feel like being ready
