Surgery Hard Testicular Mass!

27 yr male presents with a hard right testicular lump.
No other associated complains. On exam lump non tender and solid.
Most appropriate next step?
a. radical orchidectomy
b. USG of testes
c. LDH level

I am confused bcoz a lil while back i had read some contradictory thing
so i got the ans wrong

Ultrasound first...

Suspect malignancy - cut the ball off, but never do needle biopsy - cuz risk of seeding

okk thanks i went for radical orcchidectomy straightaway
bcoz i remebered from somewhere kill first and examine later sort of

You're right, but the 'examine' you're referring to is the histopath examination. You don't want to cut the poor lad's nuts off if its just say a hematoma or epididymitis or something. So do USG.
