I gave my exam 18th July.
I felt I have to sit for the exam second time after I came out of the prometric. My exam was very hard for me and only tested uncommon and wierd things instead of common things . Although there are some straight forward questions, they are just minority. My first block was unbelievably difficult . But I decided to keep going because a mere one block cannot decided my future goal which is to become a doctor in USA. Therefore, just mentally prepared before and also during the exam. Stamina is very important. They will make you feel down and nervous when u are taking the exam.
I practiced exam like experience ( 8 blocks just in one day) for 4 times with u world,nbme and UWSA quizzes. But there was still short of time in the real exam. So, be careful with this.
Just use common review materials like u world, mtb, nbme because I only used them. I just prepared for 4 mths . If you guys follow my path, then you will get about my result. So, don't try to change the review sources but they are not representative of the real thing. Also , its better to sit ck just after you sat step1, mine step1 was about 1 year ago and its not good because some of my exam questions contain physiology proper.

UW = 71% random timed , mixed
UWSA = 245
NBME 6 = 226
NBME 4 = 249
USMLE step1 score = 240
Real step 2 ck score = 234

Default Step 2 CK August 7th

Hi everyone, I took my CK the 7th of August as well, and maaaaaan was it hard. I knew it was going to be tough but was not expecting this level of difficulty, hopefully all will go well (as in my previous steps) and will get a passing score.

I did uworld 2 times and a 3rd time just the incorrect ones, I can tell you I felt as though I completely knew the uworld material, not just what answers were correct but the whole concept behind it.

I did my UWSA 4 days before the real thing and got a 249 (made a silly mistake of leaving one answer ommited because of my weird obsession of crossing out every wrong answer and then selecting the correct one, and in this case I crossed out every wrong choice but forgot to select the right one) anyways I should have gotten a little bit over 250 I believe if it wasn't for this question.

After doing my UWSA I did a bunch of 44 question blocks, random, timed, and consistently got 95% to 100% (probably because I had already done the questions so many times).

When sitting down for the real thing I thought the materials and concepts were different from the ones covered in uworld, I really hope this was just an illusion considering I was nervous and all. Anyways, I'm hoping to get a good score and matching this year.

I will keep you guys updated if anything comes up.

Good luck to us all, I know we deserve this because I am sure we studied A LOT!

Is anyone else expecting to get their scores tomorrow? I did my CK on the 7th of August (I know I missed the deadline) but Im still hoping to get my results in tomorrow, anyone else on the same boat?

Has someone taken the exam after the deadline (july 27th) and has already gotten their results back??

Please coment, dont let this thread die!

This thread is about those who got their results on August 7th, not those who took the exam on August 7th.

You will get you results on September 25th, 2013. There's zero chance before that date.

CK Score Reporting Delay for July and August Takers

Aparentley you misread... "The target date for reporting Step 2 CK scores for most examinees testing in late July and August is Wednesday, September 25, 2013." Special attention on the word "MOST", so your asumption that there is zero posibilities of getting it before is WRONG 100%

They say most because not all people will get it September 25, some people will get it later
This is not the first time they delay the results (we have been seeing this in USMLE Forums for 3-4 years now and it has never been released before the announced release date, so am not just guessing, I am telling you out of experience).
