Don't recommend it. Too many mistakes.

^ Yup. I started it, had a few good questions but there were so many errors/typos that I couldn't trust it anymore. Very misleading qbank as far as CK is concerned.

I wont say it has lots of errors. Its just that the questions are very poorly constructed. Some qs are way too easy but, some qs are way too hard and low yield. Now I am doing only medium and Hard qs . My problem is I can not study from book page by page. Its helping revising First aid subject wise.

My cumulative is eight five percent and doing only medium and hard s. Sometimes doing in Random and sometimes subject wise.

Some qs are so irritating , what is most common complication of PCP intoxication?

Its trauma guys,

is it a high yield thing at all

Depends on your situation. How much u want to score.MY main resource was FIRST AID . AND Actually if you dont RX it very difficult to retain information from FIRST AID.ITS also helping me practicing . UW qs are not new to me. After finishing RX I wil do one quick revision of uw.

Thanks for replying.
I am aiming for atleast >237
But my recent nbme score was shocking, so I am in kinda confusion of what to do this month to boost my scores as high as possible.
I used MTB's primarily as sources..(1 read of kaplan also)
Keep up the good work..
Keep working on speed and I am sure you'll improve.
I am also working on that issue that i am so slow.. But one pattern I've noticed is that if you keep doing questions the whole day and do atleast for a week, your speed gradually boosts up but only thing is that if you take big breaks in between you gotta start from the bottom again..

Hi all!!

How would you say Rx is compared to the theory/answers/management/test to order in comparison to UW? Will I find errors in management/treatment or outdated information in the online version??

I was deciding on adding the older usmleRx book Q&A from 2008/9 but I am not sure if these are outdated?

Is usmlerx good for basic pathophysiology/micro/pharm explanations?

So many people here from a search say Rx is wrong/incorrect, are they over exaggerating?

I wonder how the OBgyn, Psych and Peds are in Rx also....

I saw the Poll threads already for all the posts and really would like some additional real-person answers

are u talking about step 1. For step 1 USMLE RX helped me a lot. If u can consolidate ur knowledge with first aid and Rx .U wil not have any problem with memorization , which is very imp in step 1.I don't think there was any big errors , Cause I always read the topic from book. May be some qs are poorly wriiten.so , people find it irritating .

if u have time go ahead and do it

Was talking about CK, I finished step 1 a few years ago. I think I might review some step 1 concepts pathophysiology, pharm and micro stuff from uworld step 1 as suggested by another member to me. I couldn't risk that usmlerx would cover those points, unless you all can elaborate.

Uworld doesn't go too deeply in step1/basic science pathophysiology concepts and none of the CK books I have seen either, they might list a few signs, symptoms and what the disease is but that is as far as it goes and so often the test questions make require you to know more of that. Maybe I am looking too deeply into it.

I got a copy of the physical first aid q&a and looked at the rx demo online. Couldn't make an absolute comparison but I just saw some explanations basically repeating the same explanation from before and changing the word, not for everything.

Have you seen any conflicting explanations from Rx/First Aid Q & A CK when compared to Uworld CK?

I think you don't need much step 1 facts. But, obviously u need to have the clear basics. I don't think they test step 1 knowledge but when u answer the qs step 1 basic knowledge helps a lot. just review basic pathophysiology if u feel confused when doing a topic. never try to read step 1 all over again.

not really,dont worry about conflicts.

lets say, when I get a q about pneumonia, I also review it from books like mtb 2 / MTB 3 / first aid and make my own notes. In that way, u get everything in one page .

started neurology, I thought I was weak in neurology, just did 22 qs and got 21 correct.I don't understand that were the qs easier .The problem is very few people doing rx and I cannot compare.

Anyway, I have finish rx by this month , then one revision of usmleworld and then test.

my average is now 84 percent, 54 percent done.

I'm planning on taking it 15 days before the exam and doing 4 blocks a day just to get used to the exam atmosphere. BTW, what's a high score (>250 real thing) on USMLErx my current UW score is 73% with 70% remaining

,usmle rx has some new concepts, that has not been tested in U WORLD. But, they definitely covered all the things in USMLE world.

If u read first aid thoroughly , then u can probably answer those qs.

First aid have lots of info but, in a very compact fashion and poorly written. It is difficult to memorize al the needed info just by reading line by line, that why I am using The RX so, that I can memorize the info in a interactive way.

I am just saying if u start rx just 15 days ago, you probably wont be able to go through all the valuable concepts that may boost your score.

When is ur exam,, did u take step 1

left with 1200 qs.
Now , I like the q bank even more.It tests one topics in all possible angle. It though doesnot have the prototype question but helps u memorize the topic very well.

cumulative 83 percent, I know it will go up , If I do the questions after revising a subject very well. But, I like doing random questions.

I hope to take the exam In first week of December, Guys do u think I am ready

I only did offline nbmes 1 and 2 , Looks like did 28 and 25 mistakes respectively which was back in july. But, I did not like the way I feel while doing nbmes . I felt like I was guessing a lot.Finished USMLE WORLD very well.

Still , I don't feel the courage of taking the test . I don't understand its my problem or the problem is with my study

83%, what does that mean, the problem with this qBank is that there is no feedback. I didn't take it yet but at least the step 1 version gave me a three digit score that was very accurate in my case. I recommend you take one of them online NBMEs or UWSA to asses your readiness. Don't walk into the exam without doing so

I did not know the correlation , they used to give correlation in step 1 , which was also accurate for me.

I know some people who averaged 75 percent in rx got 250, also one 79 percent got 265,

Today I will do musculoskeletal block

Im finishing my set for UsmleRx and i think that its a decent qbank. It has a lot of detailed questions which you cannot necessarily see in UWorld. I think rx is good for just getting in those little details for step 2. It does provide explanations, but they are vague compared to Uworld. However i noticed that rx and uworld contradict themselves sometimes, for example in first line therapy treatments, so you gotta be careful which source to believe. Id advise rx for last 2 weeks of just review with your FA or if you have no other qbank to do

are talking about step 1 . this is a thread about step 2 ck. by the way , for step 1 it helped me a lot.

Specially for memorization of lots of details.

For step 2 I would say it has tested all the concepts u need to for step 2 ck. But, Some of the questions are poorly written not giving too much clue or some are like too easy which is only 25 -30 percent of the questions.

I am almost done with it 100 qs left only, I took like 1 year subscription, cause 3 month vs 1 year is very close.
Did it very relaxly cause no time pressure.
