Question Meningitis and Children; LP or CT Scan!

If anyone can help me with this as it is confusing between MTB and Uworld

In testing for meningitis, in children, neonates, and infants

What should be done, do CT first then LP as in adults or immediately LP

Here's what I know. In adults with no sign of FNDs, seizures, papilledema, with characteristic nuchal signs, you can jump straight to an LP. But if any of the increased ICP signs I mentioned are present, you have to do a CT first to rule out intra cranial lesions before an LP.

In neonates and infants, because they have open fontanelles and loose sutures and all that, chances of herniation due to raised ICP is not high, so an LP is done regardless of findings. (Source-UW)
