Help Did UWSA today

Dear friends,

Please give me a very fair advice , I am getting married in 3rd week of September so I need to give my exam before that.
my target for STEP2 is 240.

I just finished UWSA and got 228 . I was expecting 240+ today. I felt UW more tough and lengthy than NBME while solving.
NBME 4 exactly one month ago was = 191
UW bank : 68% 1st round

I was about to write my exam on 5th of september but now I decided to postpone it to 12th of september.

Exactly one month ago I did NBME and got shocked about my performance as I mentioned above. In this month I revised MTB2 and 3 cover to cover with marked 1000UW qs and revised my own 240 pages UW notes.

ISSUES DURING UWSA:

1. I have noticed that time managment was a big big problem for me, I used to get 17 to 18 corrects answers in first half of block and just 12-14 in second half of block. at the end in all blocks I use to pick last 4 qs in one minute.
2. I also noticed that 6-8 mistakes in each block were due to evaporation of knowledge which means I need atleast one more revision which I cannot do comfortably in one week So I need 2 more weeks.
3. I was really exhausted during my last block . Bc I did total 6 blocks means 2 block of uw qbank before starting UWSA

Conclusion:
So I decided to go for 1 more revision of UW marked and difficult questions with MTB2/3. Finally 150 free questions and exam on 12th September.

UWSA is usually pretty accurate. All you need is one last final push and you'll reach your target score

Recently, someone posted he scored 218 in uwsa 3 days b4 exam but got a 240+ in real exam simply bcos he did his revision and was properly rested before the exam.
Just do a thorough revision buddy and go do your test IF you believe it affected your uwsa...I scored 232 two days ago but my exam is in 2days.God willing I will make a 240+

Thanks.

Block 1 : 57% ( last 5 questions wrong)
block2: 73% ( last 3 qs wrong)
block3: 70% ( last 3 qs wrong)
block4: 70%. In this block I did last questions first, but stil I got wrong b/w 37 to 39..
All I can say exam will be even more tough due to time issue, I also missed like 3 qs . But I will do step3 blocks to improve time managment.

This thread motivates me so much. You jumped form 191 to 228 in 4 weeks. This is what I'm hoping I can do.

Side note: it seems you're stressed out when you start your self assessments. Your NBME and your UWSA both show that you do worse in the initial blocks and much better in the following blocks.

The same thing happens to me. Give yourself a pep talk before starting and try to cool yourself down. Stress is good, but too much of it can be counter-productive.

Good luck and congrats on the wedding!

Thanks for your input. I will take propanolol before starting my exam.

My exam date is on 12th september ( InshAllah).
I wrote down all topics which I missed during UWSA ,And made a plan for last 12 days( from 30th august to 10 sept).
Day 1 to 9 = MTB2/3 followed by UW-girls interrupted notes( very very much useful) + 2UWblocks +10qs of ethics+ 10qs of biostat everyday.
day 10th: Free 150qs + 2 UW blocks + electrolytes+ecg and neuro high yield topics
day 11: biostat + derma pictures + immunodeficiency diseases
day 12( 10th sept): UW 6 blocks + biostat
day 13: 11th sept: complete rest except 2 blocks of UW in morning......
Day 14 exam day.InshAllah

Any other suggestons: ???

All the best

Thanks,
Same difficulty level almost, but lil bit lengthier than UW q-bank.
Psychiatry questions were not as good as suppose to be.
All I can say about UWSA is a very better version of NBME.

All the best.
