Default Step 2 ck preparation plan

Plz advice about what would be the best plan to go about starting step 2 prep. And if first aid for step 2 is better or master the boards. And how did u go about the whole preparation . Need some direction to start this prep. And Master The Boards 2012 is the latest edition or is there any 2013 too?

Kaplan videos with MTB's for foundation (if step 1 is already in the bag)

Top it off with UW later on and you're good to go

I haven't given Step 1.
So for CK, I've gone through Vidoes+Kaplan LN+MTB+Uworld. Is it enough ? Or first aid is still needed?

Seems to be enough, I dont have first hand experience about FA but most people dont prefer it for some reason....

give me more details like when is your exam date? did you do a revision of Uwolrd? NBME's?

Well done, you have a lot of time... here are some of my suggestions

Fore sure you should do Uwolrd online at least 2 times
Because you have so much time try to do a 2nd Qbank
It might be helpful to study MTB step 3 for non - IM subjects

Well I did MTB-3 for non-IM subejcts. Didn't see them from MTB2.
I was doing around 65-70 in Uworld before. I think I want to be at the 80s mark. I don't know.
And I don't need Kaplan Qbank right!

Plus dont get so caught up in Qbank averages, as long as you read and understand the explanations for all the questions you are good

firstaid isn't the book to go for step 2. you need give stepup2ck a read, make sure u understand mechanism of action &S.e of all drugs. give pharma a read
and patho is a must for a solid base.
then top it off with kaplan mcqs and another go with world

I think everyone is different really. I know alot of AMG students use First Aid Book and USMLE Secrets. These review books vary to a degree in terms of how you want your information... If you like the style that was displayed from the step 1 first aid book. Then use First Aid CK or Step up to step 2 ck! There both very familiar and display information in a 'by the fact' way.

If you need something that you will be able to follow and read like a book, go with MTB 2 ck. Its really good for Internal Med and Psych. MTB 3 is very very good for Peds, Surg, OBGYN, and toxicology. I personally loved the style that mtb uses so i would highly recommend it to everyone.

I personally used MTB 2 and 3 with the kaplan series + Uworld + kaplan qbank

Which NBME forms are recommended? And at what time of the preparation?
