Idea! CS exam halfway through CK preparation

Hi guys, I am new to this forum. I want to ask if it would be a good idea to finish off CS exam during my preparation for step 2 CK exam itself,

i.e
1. First 2 months preparation for CK
2. Followed by 2-4 weeks CS preparation+exam along with side-by-side CK preparation
3. Additional 2 months for CK preparation+exam.

I feel 2-4 weeks of CS preparation would be enough for me. I figured out that this plan is the only way I could complete all the exams in time. I am a bit concerned about following this "unconventional" plan of taking exams. I would appreciate it if you could help me with your experience and knowledge. Potential problems/suggestions, etc. Any kind of comments are welcome.

I did exactly as above and passed both. At the time it seemed unconventional, but I did it. I studied CK for 2 months then combined both, took my CS and continued 3 more months of CK studying. You should be fine. Dedicating 4 weeks to CS is more than enough. Studying for CK at the the same time also helped me with ICE component of CS. You can do it!

Thanks a lot! This was helpful for sure.

Anybody else with the same experience? Any advice or suggestions?

i had the same situation since i found a date late in june this year for CS.. i started my prep for ck in may..took 2 weeks break for CS which were enough for me..you could take 2-4 weeks but thats max you would want to spare.. and then started my prep for ck again in july..and took my ck just last week! you will good to go! plus ck helps you a little with the ICE portion of cs and making d/d's! best of luck!
