Default preg uti

also

Preg women with UTI

I thought TMP-SMX would not be given, even though it is the first choice. U world says Amox/clav or 1st gen cephal.

But, I read on the forum someone was saying that TMP-SMX can be given in the last trimester of preg.

SO, can someone also clear this doubt!

Appreciate it!

Well there are no definative answers for CK , all depends on the case in the question . USG is done when u suspect pylonephritis or renal tract anomaly. In pregnancy always answer penicillin for uti. All males with uti (any age group) need further evaluation (usg/kub/mri/cystoscopy) but again the options and answers can vary depending on the question stem
