Default renal artery stenosis and ACEI

so what I know is that ACEI are contraindicated in renal artery stenosis because ACEI will elimintate the kidney's only way of regulating GFR, it'd take away the pressure that drives renal clearance that's created by angiotensin II.

but there are some lines in KLN that i can't understand P 214
it says that renal artery stenosis acts as hypotension, and this is greatly exaggerated with the use of ACEI, which diminish renal perfusion. this is due to the very high aldosterone state in renal artery stenosis.

In renal artery stenosis, kidney is not well perfused, so it depends on aldosterone which cause efferent artery constriction and increase Effective renal perfusion pressure.

so, we should not use ACEI which can actually decrease aldosterone secretion
