Question Doing Step 2 CK Again?

hello to u all people out there!!!
i took step 2 attempt in year 2011 but unfortunately or fortunately i got 74 two digit score..i am thinking again to appear in step 2 exam..in 2011 i was fresh medical graduate with no or very less clinical practical exposure but now in 2013 i think i am in better shape to some extent bcoz i am doing work continously in hospital and also attach with studies...
i have few questions to ask from u guys...

1)for step 2 registration process,,will i have to repeat all the procedure like attestation from my medical school and then send documents to USA.... or i just to pay exam fee online..

2)does it effects your profile that u had failed first attempt and clear exam in 2nd attempt

if your certification of identification form is valid which has a 5 year validity period, then u need not go through any procedure, just pay ur fee n book the slot.

there MAY b some negative impact regarding the attempts...but i am not the right person to speak on this as i dnt knw the exact order in which the preferences are taken. probably if u have a good reason for failure the pd doesnt mind i guess.

Thumbs Up No need to reattest medical credentials

Hi! I'm so sorry to hear that....BUT im in the same boat. I failed also with a 74, and it was devastating. As far as I know, you dont need to re attest anything. Im preparing for the exam again and planning to give in beginning of March. Good luck to you!
