RBC Everything we need to know about Reticulocyte Count

this ones pretty confusing for me.
all i know is Reticulocyte count is decreased in iron def anemia.
Anyone can help with a nice summary of what we have to know more ???

First y have to know normal is 0.5-1.5

Its also decreased in all microcytics (production problem) and also macrocytics
Except alpha thalasemia with 3 gene deletion which has high rtct.

And y have to know that hemolytic diseases have high rtct count as a compensation. Cause its destruction not production problem.
Only exception is if y have aplastic crisis in sickle cell.
