Default smallneve step 2ck story (233)

Hello guys! Hopefully I finished step 1 and step 2 ck already, so i have something to share with you.

First of all read my exam experience if you didnt smallneve came out from exam yesterday

so I got 233. So when I opened my score report I wasnt satisfied. I just went back to my bed. After my exam day I knew that I can get something like this, I even understood that I can possibly fail the exam. But as any other USMLEtaker I hoped for 250+ or at least 240+. I understand that my score isnt so bad and everythings fine. But with last changes in mean ck passing and mean score we all want 250+. Initially I was frustrated because I passed my step 1 with 244 so I thought that I will pass ck with at least 240+.

Now I ask myself why I didnt get 240-250. So maybe due to(Maybe is just rationalization):

1. Started ck prep 4 month after step1
2. Waiting for step 1 score for 2 months just killed me
3. There is no real "Bible" for ck (as FA for step1)
4. Most of med students/doctors love to study clinical subjects more than basic med subject. For me its opposite.
5. Stamina was different. Step 1 was first exam. I knew that its hardest exam. so I had 10 months of serious prep.

My motivation wasnt low. It was just lower than in step1 prep.

So again I spent 4 months for ck prep:

1.I watched Kaplan videos in August

2.I read mtb 2/3 during September

3.Did UW once - 71% ( timed unused) during October - late November

starting from block 17 I wrote my own UW notes.

4.Took NBME 4 - 235 (1 month before exam)

5. After that just read my own UW notes which really helped me

6. during last month i took

NBME 6 - 240 (17 days before exam)

and

UWSA - 257 (10 days before exam)

Thanks to everyone who helped me to pass this exam. Thanks to all this forum.

What you think guys about my chances in getting IM residency? (step1 - 244, step 2 - 233)

you know what i think! you are fresh graduate, great step1 score. you will add on everything needed for applications. you will choose programs correctly you will get +7 interviews and you will match successfully, just keep going. and don't fail CS. it is one of a hell subjective exam.
i am also ready for any score just please not below 230

I guess your chances are better than mine because I scored 226 on step 1 and 245 on step 2 Thank God I have GC. Otherwise, I would've kissed my chances of getting matched goodbye
