Default A Lost Dream- Visa rejections

So i got my visa rejected again today. This was the 2nd time i tried to go for the CS. The other time was last year when i applied for the visa after giving step 1 and got the same result. This time i was employed in one of the top ranked University hospitals in my country. I had a score of 250s in step 2 (step 1 in 240s). Their main problem was that i took of bit of a break after i did MBBS to give the step 1. A mistake thats been deemed unforgivable. I understand that this pretty much ends my chances of ever going to US for residency, and i wont deny that i am highly disappointed as it took some neck breaking hard work to get the scores. And whats worse is that i dont see a way i can get a visa now, just so i can go and give CS so i can apply for a match.
I'd really appreciate some guidance if anyone has been through the same.
Thanks.

i would suggest to apply at different us embassy, like outside of your country.

it has worked in several situations, in fact i know ppl like that, those visa got rejected and then applied to different embassy and got B1/B2.

Default It's not over yet!

I've been in your position karachikid! Dont give up yet.

I got my visa rejected once. I reapplied with the same documents and at the same embassy a week later! I was skeptic but i did get the visa!

I'm gonna say it was just bad luck that your visa didnt pull through. Try again. Like you said, all that hardwork must be worth trying!

And Beka dawg has a point there too. Lots of people were succesful trying from another embassy.

Cheers

The best thing is to draft a letter of complaint as soon as possible and email it to the embassy and reapply for the interview AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. The visa officer would have your email with him and would be forced to read what you've typed. Make the wording strong without being rude.
Before starting on usmle I decided to get my visa sorted cos I knew if I got rejected once I had done the first two exams it would be a monumental waste. My first interview was at end of 2012 and the woman who interviewed me (an awful creature who barely made eye contact) said I was too young ( 28..... Crazy I know) and to try again in a few years. How can you respond to something as asinine as that????? Anyway, I did what I mentioned at the start and was interviewed for the second time by a nice guy who actually did his job and asked some salient questions. I got 5 years multiple entry. Try again. Having travel history to a European country helps. Showing roots in your native country ( bf or gf/job) helps but babo very all be confident. After all you have no intention of staying illegally. Good luck.

Hey, I'm a Sri Lankan. If I can lodge complaints you should be able to do so too, right??
It's a shame to waste your good scores. Keep trying.

Default Try again!

Dont be dishearted man. I understand How you are feeling right now especially with those awsum scores. Try again is all I can say. I know people who got visa in their 4th or 5th attempt! Did you tell the officer abt ur scores ?. Show him that you are a strong candidate for the residency. If you dont mind ,what do u think is causing you these rejections?. Try to work on that reason. Visa is absolute luck. it has nothing to do with your personality.Thanks. Best of luck!! I hope you get what you deserve IA.
