Default When to test for cure in ID

Guys, had this query. In infectious diseases when do you test for cure(treatment success). E.g chlymydia in pregnancy you do repeat testing 3-4 weeks after treatment with azithro/Doxy.
I remember reading so for utis in paeds, is that true and any other situation comes to mind?

Thanks!

Just to confirm, if nucleic acid amplification test is positive for gonorrhea you start dual therapy whereas if positive for chlamydia you only treat with azithro/doxy but no dual therapy? True?
