before 4 hours you can use choracoal to decrease absorption , after 4 hours you can get blood level and deceide weather to give N acetylcysteine ,

after 24 hours , no treatment is given

here im facing the problem

MTB states that if we know that someone took the toxic dose we go straight to NAC
but if the ingested amount is unknown we first check the drug level

for example person swallowed 20x(500mg) pills of acetaminophen what is the management in first 4 hours-to check the drug level or start NAC ?

well as I do remember from u world that if it is less than 4 hours we dont have to give it as we don't know the amount , so better do choracoal , i think before 4 hours , the toxicity will not appear in blood level
