Default My CK Journey

I did a thread a while ago about my studying journal, but didn't post a lot, i think i got a bit bored and thought it's better to study instead.

Now i've decided to make this new thread, but this time i will keep posting, simply because i need to VENT.

I will post the hurdles i face as much as i could and any feedback would be appreciated.

I solved a block of endoc. and started reading the explanations, and i have to say that it takes a lot of time to finish the explanations.

I just finished 10 expl. and still will have to finish the rest tom.

I also have to adjust my sleep rhythm so i can put in more time and effort to finish uworld, i still have about 84% unsolved q's.

about 1875 q's.

I felt very happy when i found out that it's not only me who is moving slow with uworld and finding it boring as it take a big amount of time to read the explanations and take some notes.

I hope i move a bit faster and my pace improves, my eligibility period ends in May, so i have to try to finish uworld early so i can read MTB again and do NBME's or the self assessment.

Will see.

DUDE!! Tell me about it, takes so long to go over uworld blocks man, crazy! Even the right answers, i just cant look past them, end up reading everything and reviewing MTB 2 and few topics from MTB 3. Had to renew my subsciption today, i coudlnt finish it, still 58% left. Reading along with uwolrd takes a lot of time. Lookin to finish it one time in another 15-20 days, idk how but yea. Finished obs gynae yesterday, Dermatology for today. Good luck

@Thrax_usmle I'm glad to find another one who has the same boring feeling i get, but this is what this forum is for, to VENT the hurdles and difficulties we face, feel free to share.

So today i finished reviewing the block i solved yesterday, it was really tough i stayed all day on the desk, and near the end, i had thoughts of smashing the computer on the floor and throwing away my notes, but it was ok i held myself from that, the thought was there though.

I'm happy as i did learn a lot of new things during the review, i did take some notes and i know am starting to accept that i can only do one block per day, but it's tough to say bec. it kinda depends on the topic and how well my knowledge is, a block could take longer if it's something i am weak in, and i could finish another in less than a day, if my knowledge is better.

But i am committed to sit by the desk and not get distracted, even if i don't feel like studying. cause i feel bad when i waste time and not study especially recently since i knew how much of an effort and persistence uworld needs.

Hope everything goes great for me in the end.....

Yesterday i reviewed about 10 q's from the block i finished the day before, and solved a block and reviewed 15 more q's today (dinner outside), still have 30 q's to review tom.

I'm gonna focus as much as i could this coming period, and that means no going out as much, i wanna be fully committed and give it all i've got, the commitment of a full time job is what i'm talking about.

The good news is that my score improved in today's block, and i'm starting to see a pattern where the 1st block i solve in specific chapter is not as good as the following blocks, simply bec. i learn as i read more about the chapter which leads to improving my knowledge regarding the chapter which is a good sign.
