Help Anything else to do in addition to qbanks?

I find that I'm mostly doing UW questions, but once I'm done, I find nothing else to do. So I have like 2-3 hours of nothing to do. I write notes from UW, but still they wouldn't take much time to read (since they're not many yet). I wonder if there's anything else I should be doing? Any recommended books (other than Kaplan or other huge books), notes, or websites? I have USMLE Step 2 Secrets (2004 ed.), but I didn't like it that much, not to mention that I found several errors in it.

If you have finished the main reading & started doing questions, what else do you do?

Arrow I recommend...

You can increase the number of UW questions that you are doing per day to cover up for those extra hours.

I also recommend this book
Kaplan Medical Master the Boards Step 2 CK - Conrad Fischer

Default @steptaker

what about MTB step 3? If doing both MTB 2ck and MTB step 3 is not possible due to time limits, which single book do you recommend?

Yes, I'm preparing full-time. I have 3 months to do questions; 2 months UW, 1 month Kaplan. Then I'll take the exam. I did 800 questions of USMLEconsult, but stopped. I didn't like the questions that much. I also didn't like the interface; it's pretty far from FRED2 or UW.

I prefer to do one block of UW a day in a timed random mode, and spend a big deal of time reading the explanations, writing down notes, and checking the internet for topics of interest. By the time I start doing Kaplan qbank, I'll have become more ready, so I can do 2 or even 3 blocks a day.

Still there's some time left where I don't know what to do, and I don't want to do more questions per day to not overwhelm myself. So I'm now searching for concise books or notes; both FA for CK and MTB are huge, and I've already read Kaplan lecture notes.

In step 1 there was the FA and the preparation itself was so overwhelming. Now it's less demanding, though not totally easy, if you know what I mean.

happy to have you here haisook. I'm not able to give much to prep because of classes, utmost 2 hrs a day, so it's taking lots of time, but my exam's in the end of august, so i'm going slow.

Now i do admit that i have only done Step 1 and about to begin clinicals... But i would think that in that extra time.. If you have any book like High Yield or anything related to step 2 ck... Those books usually have lots of tables in which you can review everyday and summarize alot of information rapidly.. I found it helpfull when i studied for step 1, im sure it would help for step 2 also. Not sure if this is helpfull but oh well haha, GL on your usmle exam!

What about Kaplan flashcards series (diagnostic tests, most likely diagnosis)? Seems concise and informative enough. What do you think about them?

I have the most likely diagnosis and physical findings flashcards from Kaplan. I just started going through them. They're pretty good and allow you to learn lots of information quickly. They change one detail in the history or physical examination and suddenly the diagnosis is different so it trains you to pay attention to details.
