I read Kaplan notes once and MTB three times and did UW three rounds... could not find anything in NBME or UW out of these notes... my problem was the time and the stress while doing the blocks... when I read the explanation, I could realize that nothing mysterious!! The live lectures are very good... fast review with focus on the high yield subjects... one month can make everything organized and clear... but depend on what stage of your studying plan you are taking these lectures...!! Highly recommend Kaplan program... Good luck

Default no

stick to the books and dont waste your time attending lectures
if you don't get something you can always look for the videos or on youtube

Thank you Ziyad, I am actually done with my studies the problem is I didnt do Kaplan at all- thats the thing! I wonder if I should take kaplan course just in order to assure myself I know everything I was doing MTB, First aid with UW and kaplan qbank. Now about to take NBME. Anyway thank you for your encouraging words =)

IMO kaplan lectures are helpful if you are in the beginning of your studies and need help to know which parts to focus, tricky concepts etc. I took the live online class and I think it helped a lot.

You seem to be in the end of your preparation. How are your performance of the qbanks? If it is already on the good side, I don't think you need the lectures.

My advice would be to start with kaplan notes & then switch to FA & UW. regarding the kaplan course depends on how affordable it is for you. Most of the people whom i know passed step 1 didnt take kaplan course cause its expensive. But the few ones who did take the course did not deny the usefulness of the course.
