Thanks. That's what I wanted to hear. I dunno why some sources confuse it with mri/bone scan.

Because is the KNs (orthopedics) they say bone scan!!!
Xray can be initially normal, BUT it's cheaper, so I would do it first anyway. If negative and it looks like osteomyelitis, than bone scan for confirmation.
