Default tx of acute limb ischemia

since most of the cases of acute limb ischemia are due to emboli mostly from the heart , then why in tx of acute limb ischemia we do not add warfarin unless the question mention (AF) , , I am asking this as i faced question in uworld that asks about prevention of acute limb ischemia in patient with AF and the correct answer is warfarin ,

surgical embolectomy or intraarterial fibrinolysis

warfarin as u mentioned is for prevention and not for the treatment of already obstructed blood flow
