Question 2 questions

HI GUYS,

may u plz help me with these questions??
1- what test shall i do to pt taking lithium, who came for follow up after 3 mo. the pt has no complain and is doing well ?
( found on NBME 6 --- answers included RFT AND TFT ??? SO IT MADE ME V.CONFUCED

2- IF a patient is having a fatal heridetary dx can i tell his family for screening and prevention ?? even if he refused ???

Lithium... and Respiratory Function tests?


Am i missing something here?

Order the Thyroid tests man

Oh wait i was thinking in spanish LOL.

I dont have a source, but i would still pick thyroid

wikipedia has Thyroid side effect as more frequent than renal disease

NOt sure I understood your second q.
Anyhow: you can't disclose information regarding the patient without consent, not even to family. Unless the disease is dangerous for the community, such meningitis or TB

am sorry i was in hurry and i though my question was obviouse.
any way i mean herideitary diseases such as malignant polyposis . which is eventually fatal or huntington dx .
shall i tell the family or those at risk about it regardlesss pt wish ???
