Warning! NBMEs and UWSA with fluctuant scores !

Hi everybody,

I feel insecure and I don't have a clear image about my performance right now. This is because of the fluctuations of NBMEs and UWSA scores. I don't know which test I could trust. here is my performance:
NBME 4 217.... 3.5 months out
NBME 6 219 .... 2 months out ( I didn't get it here how I didn't improved any even though I had studied for more than one month!)
NBME 3 229 .... 1 month out
UWSA 253 ..... before 2 days ( after reviewing UW second time, MTB and my own notes)

I know you might said UWSA is more predictive but I could not understand how I jumped too much compared to last nbme !!!. these assessments were nothing like what I did during USMLE step 1 preparation, in which I gave a a reasonable improvement of NBME scores over time and the real deal was predictive to the last NBME.

Actually I don't know if I'm ready or not, however, I'm thinking to take the exam next week.
What do you think guys? does anybody have fluctuant results of NBMEs but the real score was predictive to UWSA?

Hey I'm in a similar situation... I have the exam next week, I'm scoring good in UW block, not very good in kaplan. I took only NBME4 and I scored not so great but decent.
I can't move my exam anymore, unless I pay again! So I don't really want to take the UWSA, because if I score badly I'll be sodiscouraged! BUt maybe it's silly, I should take it.... and if I score terribly I should consider moving my exam regardless...

Your scores are good though. They say UWSA is more predictable I think? You always passed scoring more than decent. You should take the exam.
How are you UW & Q question scores?

thank you for your replay. I appreciate your kind words.
I got 69% in UW. in second round 87%

I'm not sure if you need my advice for your exam. but I advise you to take UWSA before taking exam until you feel good about your score. if your score is good in NBME 4, I think you will do better in UWSA. I hope you a best for your exam

you're good to go. if you could get from 69% to 87% on you second round, i think you're ready. Id take the exam. My averages are very similar to yours expect i haven't done UWSA yet. You've improved and i'll take that as a good sign. Don't forget to take the Fred 150 free questions.

Please update us about your exam experience. I will be taking mine very soon. Good luck..

Thank you. I took UWSA, I scored a bit more than NBME4. Still not amazing, but ok. I didn't find it easy at all, and I was very distracted during the first 2 blocks, infact the percentage was considerably lower than in the last 2 blocks. I wonder if it may be due to distraction only...
Anyway, thank you again, I'm glad I did it. I'll take the exam next week on wed.

Good luck to everybody! and hopefully everybody will score amazing
